ERIC CLARKE • President AND Founder

Eric Clarke is the President and founder of Orion Advisor Services, LLC. Eric and his team came up with the business plan for Orion while running the operations and IT departments for an investment advisory firm. After an exhaustive search for an off-the-shelf portfolio accounting system to meet their firm’s needs and not being able to find one that met their needs, they created the company that today is Orion.

Eric enjoys meeting with advisors from across the country to learn about the challenges they face day-to-day, and then developing solutions that improve their business operations and interactions with clients. Eric devotes energy to building a winning corporate culture that strives for innovation within the industry and supports the individual advisor’s business success.

Eric’s current focus – his passion – is Orion’s vision to integrate the company’s entire portfolio accounting system with CRM platforms. This vision came about as a direct result of Eric’s meetings with advisors and listening to their feedback on what could significantly increase efficiencies for them.

Kyle Hiatt • EVP of Institutional Business Development

Kyle Hiatt has been an integral part of the Orion team since joining the firm 16 years ago. His experience at Orion - Accounts Receivable, Inside Sales, Team Management, Vice President of Operations, Key Accounts Manager, and Business Development - has provided Kyle with a wealth of knowledge that he utilizes to help advisors transition to Orion’s back-office service. Kyle also spent time as an advisor and knows first-hand the tools that advisors need to run a more efficient, client-centered practice. Kyle now oversees the Orion Sales and Technology Consulting teams. Kyle’s diligence, focus, tenacity, and consistency provide those who work with him an example as they serve our advisors.

Kyle’s passion is working closely with Orion’s partners to create and strengthen efficiencies for our advisors, and delivering these solutions to them. Kyle and his team look forward to speaking with you to help you get back to enjoying your business again.

Randy Lambert • Chief Operations Officer

Randy Lambert tackles the challenges of translating strategic goals into tactical operations. Randy has nearly 2 decades of experience in the investment advisory industry. His career began at Orion’s sister company, CLS Investments, LLC in 1993 on their trade desk. As his tenure continued, he oversaw the data reconciliation and client reporting for CLS, eventually becoming the Director of Operations. In this role, Randy helped the company dramatically increase assets under management. In 1999, Randy accepted the position of the Chief Operations Officer for Orion.

Randy is most passionate about the relationship side of the business – working with advisors to help them maximize their investment in Orion. He believes advisors have the answers and it is his job to work with them to match the tools and processes Orion offers with advisor needs to help them enjoy their business again.

Brad Burgess • Chief Technology Officer

Brad Burgess has 18 years of technical experience, including 15 years with Orion. Brad’s job satisfaction comes from providing advisors with technology that reduces costs and increases efficiency. Brad knows that his decisions will impact advisors and vendor partners.

Brad empowers his team to utilize their individual styles and skills. Orion’s highly innovative programmers don’t accept the status quo. Brad and his team look for ways to improve the functionality of the Orion system while pioneering new tools and new technologies in the investment industry. They seek to ensure that the Orion system meets advisors’ needs. Brad understands his team’s success can be gauged by the trust advisors place in the Orion system.
